Had a great Night out, food was good and plentiful, Staff were happy and helpful, nice to see some smiling faces. Very busy so make sure you book in advance! There was live entertainment on the evening we went but this isn’t the case every night. I had the sea food pasta and it was very creamy and had just the right amount of Garlic! Having been the previous week to look at this beautiful establishment, we booked a table for Saturday night to enjoy the flamenco and the food. The table was for 8pm and we sat outside enjoying the evening sun.
The waiters were very polite and friendly and took our drinks order straight away. The wine list was somewhat eclectic with Barbadillo at 13 euros a bottle. ( 3.50 in most supermarkets - but you do expect to pay a little more when fine dining - however that's quite a profit!) |

This year was our first visit to the Spice Hut; from arrival to leaving the owners were attentive and pleasant. The food was as good as I have tasted anywhere, beautifully cooked with exquisite tastes, wow what a find. It is so good we went another 3 times. I wish it was near where I live. Well done Spice Hut you are superb!!! Go to this restaurant? Click here |

Not a nice place and would certainly not recommend it to anyone. We have visited our plaice a few times and have found the staff to be rude and the food sub-standard. The last time we went in, the young waitress stared at us until we ordered, no "hello" or "how can i help you". At the end of ordering she said "is that it?", not "would you like anything else?". she was really abrupt and rude. the pie we ordered was soggy and the chips undercooked. There aren't many English fish and chips places on the urbanisation so I firmly believe that people keep going back not due to choice, but lack of options! I would email them myself but unfortunately I cannot find a website or email address for them. Go to this restaurant? Click here. |

I have been going to the Budapest now for over 5 years. In that time the quality, choice and service has continued to be excellent. The staff are always courteous and hardworking with a good sense of humour thrown in. The mushroom soup and beef goulash are to die for and the menu del dia is excellent value for money. I cannot recommend it highly enough. |

We have been enjoying the fabulous food at Cote Jardin since it open, you will have to look very hard on the Costa Blanca to find food as good as Ludi and Julien serve. When you enter the restaurant you could easily be forgiven for thinking that you were in fact in Provence. The decor is very relaxing and we are always sure of a warm welcome. We always take our friends and family to Cote Jardin and everyone always has a fantastic evening. The food is amazing and the wine list offers a good variety of quality wines. Cote Jardin offers a unlique and unforgettable dining experience, go and see for yourself you won't be disappointed. |

December 2009 – The return to England of our friends Amin and Marie (Amin is our web designer by the way), although sad, gave us the opportunity to dine on their last night here at Las Cuevas, a cute little venue in the cave-house quarter of San Miguel. Its a place we take most of our visitors to, being something a bit different and offering typical local dishes. John and Glenda, two of our best friends, joined us for this auspicious occasion making a jolly little party. |

February 2010 – Christophers is probably our favourite restaurant locally so when we heard they had adopted set price menus, it gave us an excellent excuse to bumble on down there just to make sure nothing had changed. Once again John & Glenda were our companions of choice and they brought along Tony & Helen, a couple of their neighbours who are over here on holiday. |

I have been to this restaurant several times since they moved to Quesada. The food has varied a little over that time, but has always been good. Most of the time it is exceptional.
Their dishes are cooked from scratch. The last time the food was amazing. The flavours are complex & you can really taste the herbs & spices in each dish. You have to wait for the food, but it is worth the wait.
In some Indian restaurants everything tastes more or less the same; here that is definitely not the case.
Their desserts are wonderful too.
I have Indian friends from the UK who have eaten here & they say that the food here is authentic Indian food, not the pre packaged stuff so many Indian restaurants in Europe serve.
You can also book Indian cooking courses here & they will also sell you fresh spices when they have enough stock. They are always really friendly, helpful & welcoming. They have comfortable sofas, so you can enjoy a drink while you order & wait for your food, or extend your evening after you finish eating. It is not decorated like a typical Indian restaurant, they have their own unique comfortable & welcoming style.
The food is reasonably priced. They do a buffet some nights & menu of the day, so you can try their food without spending a lot, but their a la carte food is the best tasting. Go to this restaurant? Click here |

This restaurant sits in one of the most beautiful settings on the Costa Blanca and has gone from strength to strength since opening in the spring of 2008. As well as being a hugely popular venue with all nationalities for lunch and dinner, it is now hosting weddings, parties, theme nights and banquets, so it was a natural choice for our first review. It was a glorious October day and very busy but we managed to find a table on the large terrace after a short wait and ordered a couple of bottles of wine (very acceptable) while we drank in the atmosphere and looked at the menu. Its fairly simple - meat, pizza and paella mainly, and comes in various languages. Fresh crusty bread with tomato and ali-oli arrived while we were debating and we chose a selections of starters between us all including a huge salad, jamon, machego cheese and sizzling garlic prawns, a real feast! For main course six of us plumped for the delicious-looking mixed paella, served at the table straight from the pan, with seafood, whole prawns, and good-sized pork and chicken pieces. There was plenty enough for second helpings and it proved to be one of the best we´ve had in our five years here. The other three in our party aren´t seafood fans so one had lamb chops, beautifully cooked and plenty for her, but not enough to satisfy a hearty eater we thought. The roasted lamb shoulder chosen by her husband though was too much so we helped him out…it was delicious! If you love your veggies you will be disappointed in most Spanish restaurants, at Conesa they are typically sparse but at least they were fresh. Predictably the teenager amongst us chose pizza which was home-made on a thin crust and looked good, its must have tasted good too as it was gone before we got a chance for a sneaky taste! Desserts were predictably the usual selection of cakes and ice-cream from the freezer, though a couple of our friends tried the more interesting-sounding choices, none of which translated well into English and weren´t what they expected. The rest of us opted for coffee instead. What a great way to spend a warm autumn afternoon! The meal took over three hours but thats they way you are supposed to do lunch in Spain, it didn´t feel like we were waiting at any time. The bill was a bit steep but thats just because we had it all including wine, soft drinks, water, coffees and liqueurs which bumped it up quite a bit. It is possible to eat reasonably cheap at Conesa though, with starters from 2,95€ and main courses mostly around the 10€ mark. And of course, sharing a paella is not only traditional, it works out cheap too.. I should mention there is a large restaurant indoors for those who aren´t keen on dining al fresco and there is also a kids play area. The best thing about Conesa though is the fantastic setting, make sure you take time to have a wander round before or after your meal. Apart from the impressive castle itself, there is a lake with ducks, swans and waterfalls, extensive grounds with beautiful gardens, and more terrace areas with pergolas and statues…and its all lit up at night – stunning! Following on from your review the other week on Menu Del Noche dining, we went to Frissan Restaurant in San Miguel de Salinas to sample what they have to offer. From first walking into the restaurant we were greeted by the waitress & asked if we had booked we replied no, but wondered why she asked because there were only a few tables in. Later that evening I realized why the restaurant was nearly full. On to the food, we were given the menus & told about the specials & the soup. My husband & I ordered from the set menu 3 courses plus half bottle of wine for 14.50 euros. |

English run restaurant by Stu and Jayne. Excellent menu choice (with really large portions!) and really affordable prices. Staff very attentive in a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere with nothing being too much trouble. The table is yours for the evening so your meal can be enjoyed and not rushed. I've just read the awful review about The Yellow Rose of Texas and would like to tell you of our experience there. We liked it so much that we tried to go back the night before we came home but it was closed, we were so upset! The service was excellent, we had to wait a little while because we wanted an outside table but it was no problem to the staff. The food was absolutely gorgeous ( huge portions ) and the waiters kept checking that everything was ok. We are very much looking forward to going back. |

Hi there, I've just read a review for this restaurant and couldn't believe they were talking about the same place !! Me and a friend ate there last Tuesday, 13th October 2009 and were very impressed and pleased with the service, the food and the price. From the moment we entered the restaurant until we left, they couldn't have done more for us, free drinks, Grissini sticks and bread and a huge portion of what we ordered. In fact. we wished we'd found the place at the beginnin of our holiday instead of the last night. When we go back to thearea we will definitely be visiting the restaurant again. Well done!! |

We had an experience very like that printed in your third review of this restaurant. My partner and I went to the Banana Tree recently. The " Thai " food was not up to scratch, tasted very chinese ( my partner taught English in Bankok for 2 years), but apart from that, we were both sick with severe stomach cramps amongst other symptoms for a few days afterwards. Slack health and hygiene practises in such establishments can often lead to sickness so I just wanted to write to make your readers aware, so that hopefully they can avoid having such an experience. |

My wife and I went to the Spice Hut on the recommendation of your Mystery Diner and were extremely disappointed. The restaurant is what it says, a Hut but not with prices to match. No decor whatsoever slighty resembling an Indian Restaurant.
We were asked if we wanted drinks before our meal, which we declined and were then shown to our table by a waitress with a large tattoo on her arm ,who said "here you are darling".The table was so close to the other 2 people that we were virtually sitting on their laps. We were given the menu after first adjusting the table. The menu was stuck together with sellotape and very hard to understand, with the prices not showing against the individual dishes. We were both really looking forward to the Tandori mixed grill, but couldnt find it anywhere on the menu.Perhaps it came off with a piece of sellotape.
After studying the menu for about 10 minutes and unable to find the mixed grill, or to fully understand the pricing structure, we decided to leave.I would however say we were able to estimate the cost of our meal, without the mixed grill and it was in excess of 50 euros. With the current economic climate I believe in conserving my money and not spending over 50 euros on a meal in a restaurant, which in no way represented the prices being charged.

During all 6 holidays in Almoradi we have always visited REDZ DINER for a number of meals but were not aware of this site, now that we are we feel compelled to say that the friendly efficient service and choice of food is second to none. We feel that they do the very best steak in town and their half pound Irish Burger is to die for!!!! My Daughter adores the freshly made milkshakes and when we pre-book we get a free bottle of wine. REDZ has a a relaxed atmosphere with good background music and the lovely Irish owners really do everything to make sure that we are comfortable, happy with our food, and everything is to our satisfaction. We would highly recommend a visit for a great dining experience. Carol, Mick & Elle (Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.) Go to this restaurant? Click here |

This restaurant is well worth a visit. It offers a great range of food, from pizza, to pasta and then conventional meat and fish dishes.
The restaurant itself is simple and elegant, with tables inside and out. I would recommend sitting inside to avoid the noise from the 2 adjoining bars who sometimes have 'entertainers'.
Not only is it an eat-in restaurant, but ot also provides a fantastic take-away service, which we used on a couple of occasions.

If you don't include a visit to this restaurant during your stay on the Costa Blanca, then you have missed out on a great night out. Cote Jardin offers the full package - great ambience, wonderful front of house service and then fantastic food. It is like stepping into another world - the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and the tables simple but so definitely French 'chic'. Ludi and Virginia offer a fantastic welcome, whether it is your first visit, or you are regulars. There is an air of calm - no rush to order and yet no long, unnecessary waiting around. They watch their customers and instinctively know when they are ready to order etc. |

You may want to share with you customers some of my experiences (and my family') in the Banana Tree restaurant in Quesada. We ate there over a week ago and 3 of us shared a "dinner for 3". Since then we have all been violently ill with various food poisoning problems. Luckily, my wife chose her own dish and did not eat from our "dinner for 3" - she is nearly 7 months pregnant and I would have major concerns if she, was as ill I the rest of us have been. Separate to this, we were also short changed, that was corrected. Also, the placement of ornamental objects on shelves above people's heads and on thoroughfares, is also very dangerous.............that is if the food does not get you first ! We will not be returning. Go to this restaurant? Click here |

First of all I would like to thank you for your recommendation of this diner on your website. Myself, my wife and my two children were over on holidays. We really wanted some place which would suit the whole family and decided to take your advice and try Redz. We were here for 10 days and subsequently re-visited Redz diner two more times we were so happy with the food, the service and the atmosphere. I won't go into too much detail about the food but suffice it to say that between all 3 visits we sampled much of what was on offer, and everything we ate exceeded all our expectations. I do have to say something about the banoffi pie. I have a special fondness for it and have tried it wherever I have gone. Redz diner has to have the nicest banoffi pie I have ever tasted.
We are coming back next year and our first nights outing will have to be to Redz diner. Go to this restaurant? Click here |

Just a quick note of thanks for the recommendation on ReDz Diner in your website. We really had a very tasty meal there this evening. Nice selection on the menu, decent prices + portions. Good music and not too loud. I am not a big eater but had the small Nachos supremo and they were simply delicious. My husband got the Chicken Quesadillas, very nice presentation, fresh fresh and scrumptious.
With such a nice selection of coffees I just couldn’t resist topping it off with an Irish Sambuca Coffee, perfection!
Very good value for money, Nice friendly service “with a smile” Yellow Rose doesn't even come close, not even a chance next to ReDz. 3 thumbs up for ReDz Diner.

Dear editor in the days where we hear so many horror stories about Spain and some of our Spanish hosts, I thought i would write this letter about the La Herradura restaurant situated in Los Montesinos.
A short while ago my wife and I took some business colleagues there to eat and discuss business in an informal way. The problem these days is that there is so many of the so called fast food restaurants up and down the Costas it really is difficult to find somewhere with old style values. |

We have been going to the RRI for a long while now, in fact ever since they first opened. Nas and Brian run a perfect restaurant. Brian is front of house and Nas is the chef and a very good one. The food is excellent and good value but the food is not the only reason that we are still going back after all these years. We pass about six or so other Indian restaurants on our way to the RRI and we hardly ever go in. The reasons for this are they are not the same standard. The owners or staff never remember our names, Brian does and did from the second visit. The RRI is clean and the room is always perfectly laid out. The standard of service is first class and the food is always cooked to perfection by Nas and her staff. Thank you Nas and Brian for seven good years and countless great meals. Go to this restaurant? Being uncondicional fans of Indian cuisine, my ladyfriend and myself, have visited tens of those restaurants in various citys of the world, including the northern part of India itself. We have been invited for dinners (and even religious ceremonies) amongst our Indian friends. Our conclusion is unanimously: visiting the Villamartin Real India you will taste the most balanced dishes, if you like them very hot or rather very mild; never the sensation comes up that something is overdone wih one particular flavour. We had several dishes from the menu both meat and vegetarian as we always combine them, leaving no place left for desserts: here we have no experience, but the variety of curries, tandoory and biriyani are definitely amongst the best we ever had; also the presentation is adequate as are the wines at a reasonable price. Congratulations chef Nasrin and her devoted organizing husband Mr. Bryan Joseph. Go to this restaurant? Click here. |

This was my favourite curry house until recently. As a regular customer who has dined here for the last four years at least 3-4 times a month. I now feel i never want to step foot in the place again. Recently they added a menu of the night for 9.99 euros, and we dined there with 14 friends and the bill came to nearly 220 euros, the drinks were overpriced and we were overcharged for drinks we did not have, but the food portions were just right. I was a little disappointed but food was good. |

In March we thought the MDD menu that day was better than when we went in June but that's because my wife could hardly make my mind up in March as she seemed to like it all & only fancied one or two dishes this month. We went as a party of ten in June, a party of eight in March & both were for our birthdays. My wife's gammon was sweet, unlike most which are salty & she hates salt. I invariably have fish, my salmon was wonderful. Their chocolate fudge cake was totally scrummy & was served with chocolate sauce separately in a little sauce boat. It had been put on the dessert menu as they'd run out of profiteroles. All I can say is thank goodness they ran out of profiteroles ! |

We haven't been back to try this restaurant again as we went around 2003 with two other couples for a MDD lunch & the portions were tiny & nothing special & we left hungry (or maybe Hungary !!) We also paid quite a bit more than the average MDD locally. Friends went one evening around a year ago & were not impressed. |

We have enjoyed two meals (each) here, the last being June 2009. It's VERY busy especially after 2pm when it seems all Torrevieja & surrounding areas flock here for their meals. It's also extremely noisy & smokey in bar area. However, we'd much rather sit either in that area or, preferably (as we're non smokers), outside if weather permits. The non smoking room's at the rear of the building & hasn't the atmosphere of the bar area/smoking room. |

We've been to Mulberry's a few times recently, March 2009 & May & June 2009 around 3.30pm & each time we've had wonderful dishes served to us & very quickly too. I like wine with a meal though & a glass of red wine there was well over 2€, I think it was mentioned to be 2.65€ when I enquired, don't quote me. We had small beers @ 1.30€. The dishes we tried were only 4.95€ each, one was a sweet sticky Thai beef on salad & another was chicken tikka with mint raita topping, both so yummy. Meals were large too. Mulberry's bake their own bread & their sandwiches are beautiful, served with coleslaw & crisps. (Doorsteps of bread). All in all a great place & we can't wait to return. Go to this restaurant? We went three times May / June (once with a wheelchair hence that restaurant, for ease of access) so obviously it was acceptable. Garden's pretty with trees & rose bushes & piped music from mini speakers in trees. Little waterfall feature too. Can be very windy there & umbrellas were being blown around with no one sorting that out & diners were vulnerable. |

Fantastic food, something a bit different to the norm, Trev loved his seafood risotto and my monkfish was fantastic with the saffron cream. English and Spanish visitors, a good, friendly atmosphere from John and his team. Outside dining area for those hot evenings. We’ll definitely be back John. Got to this restaurant? Click here. |

I have eaten there many times and have never been dissapointed, a bit pricey but well worth it. We usually share a starter of the tomato bread ... plenty for two people. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a good idea to book because they get very busy in the 'high season'. Go to this restaurant? Click here |

Last week as a bit of a celebration my wife and I went to the L'Arlequin, Calle Valencia, Bajo A - Edif Novamares III, 96 571 37 82, 03180 Torrevieja. The dining room is a large airy room overlooking Torrevieja Marina and has nice simple uncluttered decor. Background music is just that "background". Firstly appetizers, we had a plate of Alioli a coarse Pork Terrine pate and warm bread, butter, crisps and olives. A bottle of House White, nice cold and crisp and dry. My wife decided to stay with the 12€ evening menu starting with a vegetable soup plus optional croutons which satisfied the 5 fruits rule in one dish. I sneaked some and it was truly delicious, I had tomato soup and cream which was piping hot and served with fried bread, a lovely mix. |

Some people who should know better will refer to Menu del Dias as "poor food for poor people". Nothing could be further from the truth in most of the Restaurants that I visit. Take MESON EL HUERTANO; Calle Benejuzar behind Hotel Tuto, Torrevieja,Tel 965717943 . This is a top quality Spanish Restaurant. The dining rooms deserve a mention alone for their bizarre collections of memorabilia hung from the ceiling and walls. Everything from Antlers to old ploughs, really quite remarkable. You can spend a long time just looking at this. I do not think in the UK you would find antique knives and daggers so close to hand. There are 2 dining rooms one for Smokers and the other for Non-smokers. |

What a gem, we found this bar by accident after a nice walk along the river to the old watermill, which was interesting, and nice to see people fishing. The best place to eat in the Costa Blanca. Have been going since it opened and it just gets better and better. When friends and family come over they always book in for a meal - they love it! Ludi, Virginia and Franck do themselves proud, go out their way to make sure everything is perfect, make everyone feel welcome. Ludi should teach people on how to make you feel at home and welcome, alot of businesses on the Costa's could learn alot from her. Oh yes nearly forgot about Julien. We have eaten in many, many restaurants across the world but how lucky are we that one of the best is on our door step and that is all down to Julien and his creative cooking skills! So if you really want to have a great eating experience go to Cote Jardin, Sunday lunch is fantastic! |

I feel I must write to say how strange I find the review on the Country Cook in. We have been regular diners there for fifteen years and must say Andy is an EXCELLENT CHEF and Gill prepares a great selection of deserts also the rustic atmosphere of the restaurant appeals to us. I must also say that one of the other places your reviewer praises is the only place I have found a caterpiller in my salad in 16 years of dining out in Spain. |

I refer to the article in the Coastrider, Edition 270 dated 7th April 2009. May I first ask who is Andy Campbell and with what authority does he have as a restaurant guide?
He mentions that the views given were on three of a number of venues visited and one can only assume that he had some kind of grudge for commenting on County-Cook-In in the way that he did. I was brought up to believe that if you have nothing good to say about a person then it is better to say nothing at all!!

I feel I have to comment on an article in your normally excellent newspaper. The article in question was written by Andy Campbell about the the restaurant Country Cook In. Far from being objective, it read more like a deliberate "chop job" for whatever reason. May I say from the start that I do know the people who own the establishment, but do not have any connection. On the first point plastic garden chairs. Having been in the hospitality trade for over 30 years I am well aware that normal restaurant chairs are usually designed to become less comfortable after about one hour, a hard wooden chair will achieve this end. This is so that people will move of their own volition and another paying guest can have the table. The average garden chair, however is for you to sit and relax in. This is not the reason for plastic chairs, nor is cost, as wooden ones can be sourced for about the same price! The reason, I am told, is that on a less than even floor (this is supposed to be a rustic setting) plastic chairs flex and sit on the floor without rocking, thus making for a more pleasant time. Of course this will not help if you are o nly concerned with aesthetics. |

As regular customers of the County Cook In at Formentera del Segura for 16 years, my husband and I wish to lodge a strong complaint about the extremely derogatory "restaurant review" written in your newspaper this week by Andy Campbell. And we would strongly advise him to write a retraction with an apology to the owners Andy and Gill Nash. How dare this man think he has the right to vent his feelings in such a blatantly ignorant and rude way in order to try and put such a long standing successful restaurant out of business. His choice of words were hugely insulting and defamatory: clearly aimed at harming the restaurant's reputation and appeal to potential customers.

As regular customers of Country Cookin, we find the remarks made by your restaurant critic quite extraordinary! We have not been to the other two restaurants cited and so cannot comment(although we have been to others who do traditional Sunday lunch). I have a large appetite, and with plenty of unprocessed, freshly cooked meat on my plate, I am well satisfied. The roast potatoes are always crisp on the outside and soft in the middle- just how we like them, and the other vegetables(also fresh), are never over cooked. The presentation is nothing fancy, but, there again, it isn't exactly 'slopped' on the plate either. We don't hold with the 'art on a plate' idea of food. We want good, honest to goodness wholesome food, and that's what we get at Country Cook in. All the desserts( apart from the icecreams) are home made too. |

I totally agree with your assessment of this restaurant, Andy. It's also my favourite in the area. One thing missing on your commentary is the decor. It is so unusual (I have never seen it before) to use rustic decorations in such a modern way, but it works wonderfully. As a pescatarian, I am always critical of the fish dishes produced in restaurants; they are all too often overcooked, dry and tasteless; but at Cote Jardin, I have had the tuna, the swordfish and the halibut and never been disappointed. Finally, I just have to say something about the crème brulee. I always choose this desert when I see it and have eaten it all over Europe, most notably at the 2 star michelin restaurant Chez Bruno in Brussels, where it is a speciality. Julian's creme brulee is sheer nectar, creamy, perfect temperature and depth and the topping in thin and crispy. The hint of Lavendar in the flavour is just an added bonus. Chez Bruno, eat your heart out! 5 stars to Cote Jardin. |

It’s Dutch and family run by Mart, Anja, Nicolette and Cliffton van Oeffelen.
Prices are above average, so I was hoping for a good choice of good food. We didn’t get that – we got an excellent menu and superb food!
The minute we walked in, we were impressed by the décor and elegance of the restaurant, and when we sat down we all agreed that the seats were ideal (myself and on of our friends suffer from arthritis, and bad seats can cause us a great deal of discomfort). The lighting is subdued, so I’ll be taking my reading glasses next time. |

I found this restaurant to be very clean and friendly with great priced meals. We had the 3 course chicken meals (one of us had the chicken curry the other chicken & pineapple) of the day that also included a glass of beer or wine for only €3.95, it was great value, good portion sizes and tasted good. |

Situated between The Bushwaker and The Bog Road on the northern end of the Cabo Roig "strip" is Mexico Minoo. An excellent place to eat - we have never had a bad meal. Prices are competative and portions very generous. The Chef, Didier Boyer, has been running this restaurant for the last five years. All the food is fresh therefore can be prepared to the customer's liking. The food is not over spiced making it suitable for most tastes but if you require it it can be made more spicy. He makes all his own burgers and meatballs from steak. I am only sad that they are only open in the evenings. Front of house is Didier's partner Clare and the service is always friendly and nothing too much trouble. |

Simply the best place to eat in the Quesada, Rojales area. we have been three times in the last month with different friends and have never been disappointed, the decor is great the atmosphere is excellent and informal and the food is simply to die for. It´s a family run establishment and there are not enough superlatives to describe how good this place is for the price point, it costs an average of 30 euros per head for a 3 course meal including drinks and I guarantee anyone looking for fine dining in relaxed surroundings will not be disappointed. I rate it 10 out of 10 and would heartily recommend it to anyone. Go to this restaurant? Click here. |

One of the best restaurants in the area combining great food with a really warm welcome. A little more expensive than most but, despite its informality, this is a real restaurant and not just a tourist trap and the ingredients used are of a high quality. Booking is a good idea if you want to eat inside as this is quite small, there is also a larger terrace area outside. It's always a joy to eat here! Go to this restaurant? Click here. |

If you just want a beautiful steak cooked to your liking and aren’t bothered about the trimmings, then the Patagonia is the place for you. Every member of our group thoroughly enjoyed their main courses. The waitress was overly helpful in advising on how best to have your steak cooked, and was also extremely honest about the vegetable sides. Unfortunately, the only thing that lets down the whole Patagonia franchise is the fact that the green beans, mushrooms and spinach used are all tinned. This is a real travesty considering the plentiful supplies of vegetables that are on their doorsteps! But at least we were told this before ordering. Warning: Don’t fill yourself up with starters as you may struggle to enjoy the beauty of your main! Go to this restaurant? Click here. |

A traditional Italian restaurant with friendly service. The calamari starter was cooked to perfection, the homemade meatballs and spaghetti special was beautiful but they were both blown out of the water by the delicious homemade tiramisu. Despite the portion sizes being large, the tiramisu was so light, it left you wanting more! The only downside was having to watch my girlfriend drool over the waiter! |

My mother came away from this restaurant saying she had the best meal she had ever eaten, and this was certainly the statement echoed by the rest of our group. Before we had even had chance to savour the wonders of a varied yet exciting menu, the waiting staff had made us feel comfortable and at home. The mushroom tart was a true French delight to start and followed by a delectable “French classic” Bouef Bourguignon – by far the best I had ever devoured! Also on offer outside of the standard menu were specials of the day for all three courses with the halibut main proving a real winner! The desserts were gorgeous, and we all went for the traditional French crepes, each flambéed in the liquor of our choice … be sure not to drive after these!!! 10/10!!!

The €19 set menu provided a wide choice of traditional meal choices and a half bottle of wine. The chilli nachos were nice and the main of chicken with a red wine and bacon sauce on a bed of tagliatelle was a different twist. The downside was the size of the portions meant that a large amount of the vegetables (served separately) were left and wasted. The dessert menu was clearly updated daily with a wholesome choice of homemade offerings, however there were no nice surprises. Previous trips have been a lot more satisfying when choosing from the a la carte menu, so maybe the answer is to pay the price and veer away from the set menu! Go to this restaurant? Click here. |
